Yearly Wellness Check
The Yearly Wellness Check for Dogs and Cats is an Adult Physical. This appointment helps ensure your animals wellbeing. It also allows the Doctors to assess your pet for typical or atypical signs or symptoms that may raise their attention.

Spay and Neuter
Cats may be spayed (female) or neutered (male) if they are at least 8 weeks of age and weigh 2 pounds.
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age before sterilization. The recommended age to spay or neuter your dog will vary depending on specific factors including breed. Our veterinarian can discuss with you the best age for surgery for your pet.

Surgery
We offer a variety of surgical services to our clients. This includes spays, neuters, mass removals and wound care just to mention a few. Your pet will receive supportive care, including pain medication and anti inflammatory medication to ease any pain.
We will discuss with you how to care for your pet at home as it recovers and we will send home written instructions.

Boarding
While your pets are with us, we will do everything we can to keep them safe and happy. If you are concerned about leaving your pet, please don’t hesitate to set up a time to visit our hospital and look around our boarding facility. We will be happy to discuss our boarding policies and answer any questions you may have.
In-House Laboratory
We are very proud of our laboratory. We are able to perform many diagnostic tests quickly and efficiently. We can do many simple tests but are also able to offer some more complex ones, too! We are able to run heartworm tests, feline leukemia and FIV tests, and full blood work. There are also many other tests we offer our patients.
The best part of being able to run laboratory tests in our hospital is that we can diagnose your pets much sooner than if we had to send the blood work out to another laboratory. Whenever you pet is not feeling well, we can offer you results and a diagnosis in minutes instead of making you wait a day (or more) for the results.
Teeth Cleaning
Preventing plaque and tartar buildup on your pet’s teeth is one of the most positive preventative measures you can do for your animals health! Plaque and tartar buildup lead to gum disease, tooth loss, abscesses, bone degeneration and even HEART DISEASE! A finger brush or or animal tooth brush can help diminish buildup. Some pets are predisposed to periodontal disease due to genetics. Dental cleaning is one way to get them back on the right track. As pets age, teeth may need to be extracted, just as with humans. Some breeds may require two cleanings a year to keep the plaque and tartar under control so it does not negatively influence an existing heart condition.

Geriatric Care and Pain Management

Flea & Tick Prevention & Treatment
The best way to deal with all pests is to NEVER HAVE THEM! Especially pests that can cause deadly diseases like fleas and ticks (lyme disease, rocky mountain spotted fever, etc.). And they ITCH! Which may be the worst part. Some pets even have allergies to fleas and ticks and that is truly tragic. These pets will scratch themselves raw from a preventable pest. Let us keep your pet comfortable and your family safe from these nasty creatures.

Flea & Tick Treatment
If you have a flea or tick infestation (which can happen even in flea controlled homes due to a stray animal coming in, a mild winter that does not kill off flea larvae and eggs in the yard, or accidently missing a dose in your preventative plan) the sooner everyone is treated with the proper medications and your home and yard is treated with SAFE sprays that will kill live flea and ticks, eggs and larvae the more likely they won’t get YOU!
